Being a consultant provides a great opportinity to see how diverse people and organizations try to tackle the topic of business intelligence and seek that elusive return on their investment. Going from “we just need that report” to integrating intelligence into business processes and empowering people is a long journey with many stages.
In my work I strive to integrate both business, finance or other subject matter expertise with technology know-how focusing on the people and the organization, their problems and goals. This is my collection of thoughts and lessons learned solving business problems with Cognos TM1.
